The Wyoming Energy Co-Op is pleased to announce being awarded one of Wyoming's technical assistance team grants for the USDA's Rural Energy for America Program.
The United States Department of Agriculture's Rural Energy for America Program (REAP):
is available to small businesses and agricultural producers in rural Wyoming
offers grants and loans for energy efficiency upgrades

Simplified USDA REAP check-list
1: Register your small or agricultural business on the website sam.gov
A: If you have technical difficulties contact Janean Forsyth at 307-343-0765 or jforsyth@uwyo.edu
B: This will enable your organization to apply for a grant covering 50% of your project costs, potentially up to $1 million.
2: Identify the needs of your business and choose your priorities.
A: For energy efficiency upgrades an energy audit will be required. Furnaces, water heaters, insulation and much more is inspected.
B: For solar or other renewable generation systems a site inspection will be required.
3: Develop a financial plan that maximizes federal dollars.
A: Tax incentives for these types of upgrades can now be paid at project completion instead of only when taxes are filed.
B: USDA guaranteed loans are also available often offering comparatively low interest rates.
4: Prepare your grant application for submission.
